About Us

The Association of Filipino American Accountants (AFAA) was incorporated in the state of New York in 1988. It was organized by the pioneers of the Association namely: Nicasio Dadia, Reynaldo Padilla and Thomas Jimenez.

The mission of AFAA New York is to enhance the image of the Filipino Accountants and become a role model for the young seeking a career in the Accounting profession. General membership is composed of Filipino American Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) in the United States, Filipino Americans licensed as CPAs in the Philippines and Filipino American Accountants. Associate membership is composed of insurance agents, bankers, investment bankers, mortgage broker, other ethnic groups and financial planners and students.

AFAA New York is the official New York State Chapter of the National Council of Philippine American Canadian Accountants (NCPACA), a national organization whose mission is to promote the advancement of individuals with Filipino ancestry in the field of accounting, audit, finance, tax and related areas.
